The Pastoral Council is an advisory council to the Pastor/Monsignor charged with helping fulfill the pastoral mission of Jesus and the Church. The Pastoral Council seeks to develop Catholic identity, promote evangelization and foster stewardship within the parish. Members serve for three year terms. If you are interested in serving on the Pastoral Council, new members are nominated and discerned onto the council on a rotating basis each June. As an advisory council to the Pastor/Monsignor, the Finance Council prepares the budget, reviews financial statements, reviews regular Archdiocesan Internal Control audits, monitors the overall financial condition of the parish and provides advice and guidance to the Pastor in the administration of the parish assets. In addition to the Director Administrative Services, members are appointed by the Pastor and may include the parish trustees, liaisons from the Pastoral Council and members of the congregation with accounting, financial, legal, banking and/or administrative expertise. This committee acts as an advisory committee to the pastor/Monsignor. This committee identifies the physical needs of the parish property, its maintenance and upkeep. It will make recommendations and suggestions as to how the money collected from the Buildings & Grounds restricted funds should be spent by the parish staff.
Members of the committee should be versed in areas of construction, building trades and building maintenance. The committee welcomes new members. For more information please contact the parish office.
This committee runs the annual pork chop dinner which takes place every fall. This is the main fundraiser for the church and includes a bake sale and meat raffle. If interested in joining the committee, please contact the office for more information. We would love to have you!!
